Silver Celtic Swirl Necklace
MADE TO ORDER
This double sided pendant shows two different symbols which have been found in Pictish and Celtic stone carvings. One side uses the spiral and I have used the simple interpretation of ‘Life’. The other side is a representation of a circle divided into three equal sections which have been interpreted in many ways. With life on one side, I see this side representing the three ages of youth, adulthood and old age. However, it could be the trinity, or life, nature and the cosmos.
Each side is slightly domed and this makes it extremely tactile. It is ca 16 mm in diameter and is supplied on a sterling silver 45 cm chain.
Each piece is made by hand and will be unique. It is presented wrapped in acid free tissue paper in an organza gift bag.
